DESIGN TEAM

Clive Lonstein has assembled a creative, detail-oriented, and highly-skilled design team. Their breadth of experience brings a well-rounded perspective to each of their projects.

SOOYOUNG CHUNG
Sooyoung received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in 1996. After graduation she joined Skidmore, Ownings & Merrill and worked on multiple high-rise buildings for a period of eight years. Following SOM, Sooyoung joined Studio Sofield and served as the project designer and manager. During her five years at Sofield, she worked on high-end residential projects including an extensive renovation of the William Bottomley triplex in the River House and the restoration of a historic townhouse in the West Village. Following that Sooyoung took a position working in-house as part of Tiffany and Co.’s design team for five years in the capacity of Director of Architecture and Retail Environments for stores globally. In 2017 Sooyoung joined Clive Lonstein in the capacity of Senior Designer and Project Manager.
ROBERT BLUE
Robert graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2003. He began his career working for Karim Rashid and Shamir Shah Design on the interiors of residential and hospitality projects in NYC and abroad. In 2007 Robert continued on at Studio Sofield for over six years developing and expanding a leading luxury fashion brand’s global store expansion, as well as, designing the interiors of multiple residential homes. His interest in residential design led him to the office of Thad Hayes. During his four years at Thad’s office, Robert oversaw the design of many large luxury residential projects in NYC, Greenwich, Hawaii, and Miami. He joined Clive Lonstein at the beginning of 2018 as Senior Designer and Project Manager.
RACHAEL LAWE
Rachael Lawe holds a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, U.K. (2005). After graduation she became Director & Curator of FRED, an art gallery based in London U.K. & Leipzig, Germany. Following a move to New York in 2009, she served as the Founding Director of the International Collage Center, an educational arts nonprofit with a lending and research collection. In 2013 she joined the Decorative Arts and Design team at Tiffany & Co. Between 2016 and 2017 she curated three exhibitions with artist collective Regina Rex and produced several short films with filmmaker Simon Liu which premiered at the Rotterdam and Toronto International Film Festivals. In 2017 she joined Clive Lonstein. She is also an active participant in female focused curatorial group Assembly in New York and continues to independently curate arts programs.
XINYU CAO
Born and raised in Shanghai, Xinyu Cao received his Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2018. Prior to attending Harvard, he graduated from Wuhan University, China with honors in 2016 and received Bachelor of Architecture as well as Minor degree in Finance. In Shanghai he worked at Wutopia Lab, a Shanghai-based architectural office founded by Ting Yu. The main project focus was a housing project called Plain House for the artist Bin Li. After graduation from Harvard, Xinyu joined Clive Lonstein in 2018.
CHRISTOPHER LOYAS
Christopher graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater and Set Design from Suffolk University in Boston and Madrid Spain in 2009. He began his career as a prop stylist in print and film, working on various projects for W Magazine, Self, Peek & Cloppenburg. Additionally, Christopher worked on productions for Alexander Wang, Balmain, Balenciaga, and Vera Wang with photographers Steven Klein, Patrick Demarchelier, and Mario Sorrenti. In 2012 Christopher focused his career further into interior design, working with Juniper Tedhams on residential projects in New York, Los Angeles, Providence, and Austin. While at Tedhams he worked on installation designs for Wright 20. After seven years with Juniper, Christopher joined Clive Lonstein at the start of 2019.
ALEKSANDER SINCHKAR
Aleksander received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Fashion Institute of Technology in 2003. He began his career at Sign Group and worked on designing and visualizing commercial and institutional projects. In 2005 Aleksander joined JP Molyneux Studio as a Visualization Artist. During his fourteen years at the firm, he had earned a place among company's seniors, building the New York team, and working on multiple private residential projects that include tropical villas in the Carribean, Spanish Colonial houses in Pebble Beach and Los Angeles, Beaux-Arts mansions in Persian Gulf and neo-classical houses in Geneva, London and Paris. At the pinnacle of his career at JP Molyneux Studio, Aleksander made valuable contributions to a palatial compound designed for the sheikh of Qatar, Vienna's 7,800 square-meter Palais Schottenring and a 30-unit luxury development in Mayfair, London. In 2019 Aleksander joined Clive Lonstein.
